Merit Intelligence at Selecta

Selecta is investing in Merit Intelligence which will be used as a BI reporting tool and an integration platform between a numbers of different systems.

The project is delivered by Merit in Norway, Switzerland, Finland and the Czech Republic. Merit Intelligence will replace the exiting BI tools (Cognos, Qlick Veiw). And also integrate a number of third party reporting tools and existing databases, which are mainly related to Movex and other sources used by Selecta.

Merit is engaged in a number of MI-related projects where the largest ones include implementation of reporting tools at Selecta in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. There data from Movex is connected together with a series of other reporting sources to create a comprehensive report connected to turnover, re-filling, service and monitoring of individual vending machines at Selecta.

With the implementation of Merit Intelligence Selecta has discovered that Merit's ETL (Extracts, Transforms and Loads) can be used standalone. They have on-going and already delivered projects where Merit Intelligence ETL is used as an integration tool, for example between Movex and Selecta’s web shop. Merit is also in the process of completing a series of smaller integration and reporting projects that will bring together a range of different sources.

In connection to this Merit is involved in developing integrations for Selecta´s Microsoft-based CRM system. We are also waiting for approval on other major integration projects at the client.

Kaffehuset Friele - New in the M3 family in production and live with M3 v.13

Friele signed an agreement with Merit November 2012

The agreement consisted of:
- Infor M3 licenses - orders/sales, logistics/warehousing, service / rental ......
- Merit Portal Logistics
- Merit Portal Intelligence
- Integration of various solutions, including inventory

The project has had steady development during the project period, where Friele chose to update from version 10.1 to 13.1. On 29th of September 2014, the main solution was put into production. A strong focus from all levels in the project, a dedicated and involved project team and extensive testing has contributed to a safe and successful deployment.

It is once again proven that a successful project implementation is based on: engagement/involvement + testing + testing + testing = success!

We share the joy with Friele and wish them good luck to come.

Kaffehuset Friele is the largest coffee producer and supplier of coffee solutions for grocery stores, food service and the business market in Norway. Every year 13000 tons of raw coffee passes through Frieles factory in Bergen. Where they store, roast, blend, mill, pack and distribute the coffee. Friele was founded 210 years ago by Herman Friele (1763-1843). At the beginning, Hermans wife Bergitha Morup Friele sold the coffee in the square in Bergen, while Herman sailed as a skipper on the “Venskab af Bergen” and brought coffee and other exotic products back home. In 1980 Herman Friele jr. (V) took over management from his father Herman Friele IV. Herman Friele jr. is still on the board of Kaffehuset Friele. Since 2007 the CEO is Olav Munch. In 2013 DE Master Blenders acquired 90% of the stocks, after having the majority of the stocks since the 80s.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

We would like to thank all of our customers and partners for the past year. It has been a year full of opportunities and challenges, with many deliveries and projects, which all are equally important. We are especially proud of helping many of our customers implement M3 v.13. A new version with more and better functionality with high quality, packed into the best user interface on the market.

We are now reaching the end of the year, which means that the plans for next year’s projects and updates have started. During the next year we will implement several M3 updates from version 7 to 10 together with the implementations for new customers with in M3, Merit Portal and Merit Operations.

2015 is the 10 year anniversary for Merit and we are happy to look back on 10 years of continuous growth. The year 2014 has been a consolidation year where we focused on improving internal processes, costs and improving profit margins, which we have done successfully. For the entire Merit group this has been the best year so far. We are very proud and it gives us an opportunity to develop Merit further. We will invest in competence development, product development and of course increase our client portfolio. Even if we are Infor’s biggest partner when it comes to M3, our potential is much bigger than that.

To achieve our goals, we will focus on Infor M3 as a platform and always deliver "turning knowledge into Value" to our customers.

Instead of giving Christmas gifts to our customers and employees, we donate 8 water pumps to UNICEF from Merit Consulting - read more about our CSR...

We wish all our contacts a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
