New Technical Director

Roger Olsson is new Technical Director in the Building, Construction and Transportation market area at NGI. His extensive and broad experience, expertise and networks nationally and internationally will strengthen the NGI competitiveness.

Dr. Olsson was employed at NGI in the period 2004-2013, as Head of Section for Foundations and Engineering Geology. After that, he has been associated with COWI, and then two years in Statkraft on dam projects in Turkey and Albania.

Roger Olsson obtained his PhD at Chalmers University, Department for Rock Mechanics in 1999. He then worked for the Statkraft Grøner AS (now SWECO) and as Department Head in Geosciences at Rambøll AS Norway, until he came to NGI in 2004.
