Memorial protocol for Elie Wiesel at the Nobel Peace Center

The Nobel Peace Center staff share the grief of people all across the world on the loss of Elie Wiesel. A memorial protocol will be available to all who want a place to go to remember the Peace Prize Laureate of 1986. A digital memorial protocol is available on our website.

- Elie Wiesel was a great inspiration in the struggle against indifference. He taught us that we cannot sit still and watch people being oppressed without carrying some of the responsibility of that oppression. “The opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference”, he said. His words are highly relevant and remain an important reminder of our own responsibility and possibility of doing something to fight injustice, says Executive Director Liv Tørres at the Nobel Peace Center.

The memorial protocol is available on this website: http://nobelpeacecenter.org/protokoll
