op5 releases new Management Packs making it easier to deploy Microsoft server monitoring

op5 today announced the release of six new Management Packs supporting server monitoring solution op5 Monitor. The packages follow up on the successful introduction of Management Packs in op5 Monitor 6.2 and are designed to simplify the deployment of professional monitoring of Microsoft servers.

 As IT environments get more sophisticated and complex it becomes increasingly important for IT operation teams to maintain a unified view of the infrastructure that databases and applications depend on for reliable delivery. Without a unified approach, IT operations risk losing out on the visibility and control they need to ensure the performance and availability of critical services to their business users.

The op5 Monitor Management Packs are developed to make it easier and less time-consuming to deploy unified monitoring of equipment in an IT environment. The tailored packages also support IT change management processes by minimizing the work required to add new devices to a monitoring solutions. 
The new Management Packs support the following range of Microsoft servers:

• Microsoft AD Server
• Microsoft Exchange Server 2013
• Microsoft Hyper-V Server
• Microsoft IIS server
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Microsoft Windows Server via WMI

The release contains a total of 15 new management packs, including the six specific Microsoft but also covering pack for Cisco, Citrix, Dell and HP equipment.

In addition to the predefined Management Packs available, op5 Monitor also offers sysadmins the freedom to create Management Packs based on their own needs and level of expertise.
