Press release -

Swedish software company op5 aims for huge US growth

Award-winning IT monitoring software provider op5 AB is rapidly expanding and now plans to further establish a presence in the US market with the acquisition of former Solarwinds Sales Executive Theresa Henson as Country President for the US and the official launch of op5.com/us.

Following 6 years of incredible domestic growth within the Nordic market, the opening of a branch in Germany and a strong market demand in 2014, the company is striving to expand further internationally. The US market has proven to be an exciting environment for expansion - op5’s innovative IT monitoring tools are already being used in enterprises across the US, giving the company an excellent springboard to maximize their growth potential.

“With the flexibility and popularity of open source platforms, op5 brings a fresh approach with its out of the box value and is a good fit for enterprises who position themselves in North America and internationally,” said Theresa Henson, Country President. “I am eager to help our new customers manage their growing networks with a tried and proven platform by introducing them to our fundamental products required to scale their teams efforts and assist their business in accomplishing their enterprise goals. op5, as both a company and a product, is positioned for greatness and I am honored to be a part of this journey.”

”I am very excited about the potential of a US Office lead by the individual that managed the Solarwinds sales team when that company started” said Doug Rogers, member of the op5 Board of Directors. “With Theresa Henson as Country President, I am confident op5 will see a significant increase in sales and profit, and op5 will become a major player in the US Network Management space.”

Chairman of the board Tom Nyman added: “To start operations in the US is a milestone for op5. With Doug Rogers and Theresa Henson leading the expansion, I feel confident this will be a success. They have both been part of the multi-billion dollar success of Solarwinds. op5 already has a customer base in the US with customers like Apple and Comcast, and a proven technology with unique features like scalability, which is a good basis for expansion.”

“Our US clients have often themselves been the drivers behind their partnerships with op5, after having searched high and low in the IT monitoring landscape in the US without finding any solutions that are appropriately scalable for their needs,” said Daniel Maurer, CEO. “Being able to offer unified monitoring ideally suited to the needs of these incredibly discerning customers has proven to be one of op5’s biggest strengths in the US market.”

To drive continued growth, the US branch of the company will work on expanding their potential business relationships, recruiting new talented employees and forming stronger ties with their current partners and customer base.
