PEMA launches its new Membership Initiative - Disruptive or Highly Innovative Port Technologies 2019

PEMA – The Port Equipment Manufacturing Association is pleased to announce the release of its new initiative “Disruptive or highly innovative technologies for the port industry”.

The goal of the initiative is to foster bilateral interaction between PEMA and its members to showcase/present innovations that might prove to be widely unknown among industry stakeholders.

This is a non-binding call for action which is open to all PEMA members that choose to participate and can present one existing technology in their portfolio which, in their opinion can be disruptive or highly innovative.

In order to participate at the initiative, members must present Hard/Soft technologies with an existing installation in minimum one site for the last (2) two years. Laboratory/ factory tests in the pipeline as well as theories will not be considered. Members that chose to participate should submit a PowerPoint presentation of maximum (10) ten slides exemplifying the technology with additional explanations.

The panel of judges will comprise of 4/5 port end users such as terminal operators like APMT, DPWorld, PSA, Hutchinson, CMA who will receive the presentations and analyse them. Among all the participants, (3) three will be selected as winners.

Winners will have the opportunity to present their technologies at the PEMA Autumn Meeting 2019 in Marseille, France in front of more than 120 industry delegates.
