Record year for Volkswagen Group

Last year, a record of almost 29,000 new Volkswagen cars passed through Vuosaari Harbour on their way to new owners.

Fields filled by cars have been a familiar sight at the harbour, as Vokswagen Group reached an all-time record. The upcoming increase in car tax is probably one reason for the brisk import of cars.

In 2011, the market share of passenger cars represented by the Group exceeded 20% for the first time. A total of 17,156 new Volkswagen passengers cars, 6,212 Audis and 1,903 Seats were registered in Finland. Volkswagen vans also set a new record, claiming the top spot with registrations of 3,558 new vehicles.
