Press release -

Transport of sailors in Vuosaari Harbour from 1 January 2014

Beginning on January 1st The Port of Helsinki will provide their own ship services in Vuosaari Harbor. As a part of the new ship service concept, the transport of sailors between the ships and the terminal building will become free of charge.

Transports are ordered from the duty phone number (listed below) and the goal is not to exceed a waiting time of 30 minutes. NB! Urgent duties might interfere with the schedule. The vessel or its agent shall in advance send a crewlist plus possible crew changes via e-mail to shipservice.vuosaari@hel.fi. If the shipping company has issued identity cards to its employees it is sufficient for identity control and a crewlist is therefore not needed.

Finnlines arranges transports for their own crews Mon-Sat 08.00-17.00 and FL crews order their transport according to the company’s own instruction. Outside of times mentioned, Finnlines crews order transports from the duty number listed below.
