Pure Green is made from organically grown winter wheat in the Charante region of south western France, a region that is well known for its tradition and history in spirit making, preferably Cognac. The wheat is grown in the small village of Breville just north of the city of Cognac just a few kilometers from chateau Bonbonnet where Pure Green comes to life. The wheat is distilled 6 times in a column still to create a smooth the distillate. The distillate is then blended with carefully filtered spring water to ensure a smooth and rich taste. Everything from bottle to printing is made locally and with environmentally sustainable methods. By using local production of everything from wheat to capsules the total need of transportation is made a minimum, ensuring a low carbon footprint.

The Pure Green Company launched the idea of an organic spirit in the beginning of 2007. The founders Lars Renbjer and Martin E. Magnusson were both active with their import company for fine spirits in Sweden. By the time the demand for organic food and drinks in Sweden was booming. To combine their interest for high quality spirits and at the same time do a good thing for the environment by promote the idea of sustainable production in the spirits industry, seemed like a splendid idea to the two entrepreneurs. Hence the idea of Pure Green was born.

After two years of research and travels to find the best suppliers and production partners the choice was France and the Charante region. The choice of partner was Cognac Ferrand who has a long tradition and history of making the finest Grande Champagne Cognac and other spirits.

The Pure Green Company is based in Stockholm, Sweden and is the owner of the brand and concept Pure Green.
