RES placed in top 100 on overseas trading power list

RES is pleased to announce that it has been ranked 57th in The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200. This position recognises RES’ international growth and expansion over the past two years, with successful business operations across six continents.

The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 ranks Britain's mid-market private companies with the fastest-growing international sales, based on their latest two years of accounts.

RES has seen great growth over the last two years in particular, with it now responsible for delivering more than 10GW of renewable energy projects worldwide. This includes over 5,000 wind turbines commissioned, 5GW of offshore development expertise, 1,300MW of solar in development and over 100MW of energy storage.

Donald Joyce, Chief Financial Officer at RES commented on the award: “To be recognised as a leading British company driving sales internationally is a great achievement, and we are delighted to be ranked in the prestigious Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200.

RES has come a long way in its 34 year history. Its first wind farm only came online in 1992, with the business growing globally at a juggernaut pace since then – moving from a 1GW portfolio in 2006 to over 10GW just ten years later, but with a much expanded offering. RES can now offer expertise in on and offshore wind, along with solar, demand side management, energy storage, asset management and transmission.

Joyce continued:

Our business model is to enable more clean, sustainable energy to feed grids all over the world, and our diverse offering can now help more renewables come online. The world’s energy market is changing, so the challenge now is for the right solutions to be implemented so that consumers can be assured of a secure, affordable and clean energy mix.”
