RxEye
enters into an agreement with Unilabs! Unilabs has one of Scandinavia’s largest
operations in tele-radiology and invest in RxEyes infrastructure platform to support
their continuously expansion in Europe. Initially the collaboration will last
for four years with an order value exceeding 1 million Euro.
Both the European and the Scandinavian market for tele-radiology have increased as the number of radiologists and pathologists in health care has declined. Tele-radiology support the increasing needs for diagnostics in radiology and pathology. Unilabs will through their diagnostic services and RxEye through the offer of infrastructure platform be part of the future development of the Tele-radiology business.
– RxEye has with their solution showed that they understand their customer’s specific need within tele-radiology. Strict security demands, scalability and efficient connection to local hospital systems – but also transparency and efficient collaboration between customers and suppliers. RxEye has solved these demands through an innovative and future oriented way, says Head of European Teleradiology at Unilabs Group, Bjørn Mikal Henriksen.
Tele-radiology allows diagnostic images to be made available electronically throughout different medical facilities for interpretation; this increases the possibility of obtaining a quick response, preliminary reports and access to experts. The method facilitates access to images and patient data from different hospitals and clinics, as well as between countries and continents. Tele-radiology today is the most widespread application of telemedicine.
European expansion
Over
the first two years, Unilabs will do more than 350,000 examinations to be
carried out using RxEye’s technology and for the four-year period close one
million examinations could be e carried out and diagnosed using RxEye’s
platform. Unilabs intends to enter into more European countries and use RxEye for
its European operations.
“Cooperation with Unilabs will further develop RxEye’s customer value and support our continuously growth into the European markets. We welcome the high customer demands from Unilabs and will through continuously participation in research project, supported by the confidence in Swedish Healthcare abroad, be able to reach the position as a global provider of infrastructure services to the healthcare business”, says Jan Furuvald, CEO RxEye.
RxEye is a Swedish company that is advancing in Europe and which offers a web-based tool where care providers can easily make use of one another’s capacity and specific competence for the remote reading of radiology and pathology images. With RxEyes infrastructure, hospitals can quickly connect to give access to large or small volumes of diagnostic images. Agreements, quality requirements and access to both images and patient information can be handled efficient and secure.
