Singapore Airlines Airbus A350 from Copenhagen confirmed

With effect from 28 October 2019, Singapore Airlines will serve the Copenhagen-Singapore route with Airbus A350. The aircraft first lands in Copenhagen in the morning of the 29th October. A350 is one of the most environmentally attentive aircrafts on the market. The aircraft will replace the B777-300 ER that is currently serving the five weekly flights on the route.

The Airbus A350 aircraft is equipped with 42 seats in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy Class and 187 in Economy Class. The flight frequencies will progressively be stepped up to daily services.

From a sustainability point of view, the A350 is among the world's most modern aircrafts. The A350 has a more aerodynamic design and is made of lightweight materials. This and other initiatives provide a 25 percent lower fuel consumption. The aircraft engines have a lower noise level, a very spacious cabin and a special LED lighting that enhances relaxation during the journey.

Every year, more than 100,000 passengers use the Copenhagen-Singapore route. About 60 pct. of all Swedes living in the southern parts of the country uses Copenhagen airport for their long haul travelling. From the Nordics Singapore Airlines also operates a direct flight between Stockholm and Singapore.

Facts about A350

The A350 offers an extra wide body, making room for extra comfortable cabin solutions. Singapore Airlines has focused the space towards extra wide seats and more leg space for passengers.

Business Class
Each of the new medium-haul Business Class seats are able to recline directly into a 78” fully-flat bed, so customers can rest comfortable, even on the short flights. Each seat measures up to 28” in width with retractable armrests that can be raised and lowered.

Other features include ample stowage space for personal items, a business panel with in-seat power supply and USB ports, an integrated reading light unit with adjustable lighting intensity and a personal 18” full high-definition touchscreen monitor.

Premium EconomyThe Premium Economy Class seats features a calf-rest and foot-rest that is built into the seat. The seat is also able to recline with a generous 8 inches offering customers an attractive snoozing position.

Premium Economy Class customers can also enjoy a video touchscreen handset, and 13.3-inch HD enabled touchscreen monitor with noise-cancelling headphones.

Economy Class

The new Economy Class seat has an ergonomically designed contour backrest that provides greater relaxation, and a six-way adjustable headrest with foldable wings to provide more neck support.

Economy Class customers can also enjoy an enhanced entertainment experience on their personal 11.6” full high-definition touchscreen monitor.

In-flight Entertainment

Singapore Airlines Airbus A350 is equipped with the latest inflight entertainment system, with a large TV screen in every seat and WiFi network. This has been designed with a new user interface that offers a more intuitive experience and navigation options, enabling customers to enjoy Singapore Airlines’ myKrisWorld and its selection of more than 1,800 movies, TV shows, audio programmes and games with even greater flexibility.

Customers can receive personalised content recommendations based on their preferences and viewing history, while KrisFlyer members can bookmark and resume content, as well as customise, save and sync up preferences and playlists for subsequent flights through the Singaporeair app. KrisFlyer members and Business Class customers will also have access to additional in-flight entertainment choices.
