Press release -
Swedish universities continue to use competitions to connect with top talent in India
Due in large part to the success of the past four years’ initiatives, India is now the country with the most amount of applicants to Swedish master’s programmes, and one of the countries with the highest rates of applicants paying the application fee (approx 50% 2012-2014).
This year five reputed universities--Chalmers University of Technology, Linköping University, Lund University, Mälardalen University and the University of Gothenburg--together with the Swedish Institute challenge Indian students to compete for the grand prize, a travel grant to discover Sweden in 2015.
The challenge takes place on the online platform www.www.challengeyourself.in where Indian students can join and try out their competences during the competition period, September 23 - December 10.
Sweden is especially renowned for it’s progressive work within sustainability and is often considered one of the most innovative countries in the world. With this profile of Sweden as the starting point, the challenge is built around topics including Swedish inventions in green technology and asks students to reflect on how these innovations can be adapted to their local environment.
All students who join the challenge will get an exclusive invitation to attend an event in conjunction with the visits of the participating universities to India that will occur later this fall.
