Winner of Brazilian competition awarded with grand prize excursion to Sweden
Stockholm, Sweden -
Sweden-Brazil The Innovation Challenge 2015 has officially ended with four winners awarded during yesterday’s prize ceremony in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The prize ceremony took place at CISB's annual meeting, which brought together actors from academia, industry and government from Sweden and Brazil to discuss how to build a sustainable future for Brazil through innovation.
Representatives from both partner companies of the competition, SAAB and Chalmers University of Technology, were present during the event. Also in attendance was the Swedish Ambassador to Brazil, Sr. Per-Arne Hjelmborn, who officiated the ceremony and awarded the winners.
Over 1,100 participants signed up for the competition where Brazilian engineering students tested their knowledge of sustainability and innovation to compete for the grand prize excursion trip to Sweden. In the competition, students answered multiple-choice questions related to this years theme “Smart Transportation”, and submitted an essay on how urban areas can utilize eco-friendly transportation solutions.
Based on the results of the multiple-choice questions and quality of essay, the following four winners were selected and awarded:
