Start your autumn season with the largest Formex ever

Formex, the Nordic region's largest trade fair for interior design and gifts open at Stockholmsmässan August 24-27. This autumn´s Formex is the largest yet and for the first time Formex will fill all four exhibition halls at Stockholmsmässan. In total 988 exhibitors participate in an area totaling around 32,000 sqm.

The interior design industry gathers at Formex to do business, see the latest trends, be inspired and mingle.Nordic Me is this autumn's trend theme and it focuses on awareness - how we want to live and how we make our choices

Highlights at this autumn´s Formex:

Breaking Through Convention in the Theme Exhibition
The Architectural firm Codesign has been given the assignment to interpret Nordic Me, the trend theme at Formex, in an exhibition on Stockholmsmässan’s Entrance Hall. With its concept Breaking Through Convention, Codesign interprets the theme by looking at stereotypical preconceptions about the Nordic region. Formex NOVA – the Nordic Designer of the Year
Formex Nova is an award that promotes high-quality Nordic design created by a still relatively unknown designer working in the Nordic interior design industry. This year nominees are; Maria Bruun from Denmark, Hanna Anonen and Maija Puoskari from Finland, Matilda Dominique and Nick Ross from Sweden. Hall B

The Trend Restaurant
The Interior stylist Tina Hellberg has been given the assignment to design the Formex Trend Restaurant using Formex three autumn trends: Shape of things, Authenticity and Sensory. In Tina’s interpretation of the autumn trends, she would like to display different materials and color combinations that work well in interiors. This year, the well-known chef Leif Mannerström will also make a guest appearance with one of his favorite dishes. Hall B

Nordic Buzz at Formex
The Victoria hall will be filled with Nordic Buzz - New Creative Business, a project for entrepreneurs within the creative industries. Nordic Buzz is collaboration between Denmark, Finland and Sweden and is being held for the third time, although this is the first time it has visited Sweden. This year the focus is on sustainable products and business ideas. 68 designers have been selected to exhibit. Victoria hall

New look for Young Designers
The platform for young, unestablished talents – the Young Designers area - will have a new layout and design. The creator of the new design is designer and architect Mattias Stenberg. Hall B

Formex Formidable – presentation of the nominees
Formex Formidable is an annual design award to encourage and award interesting, qualitative and contemporary design. Twenty products have been selected by the jury and the winner will be announced at Formex in January as the award the People ́s choice. The entrance hall

Fashion Hackaton – next generations wearables- fashion with a built-in technological function
Fashion Hackathon was arranged this year with the aim of creating a new hybrid industry between fashion and technology and solving a societal problem or everyday problem by creating the next generation’s wearables. Six prototypes will be presented at Formex. Talks & Café area, Hall A

Design Students Selected by Formex
Trend expert Stefan Nilsson has selected twelve of his favorites from the recent design graduates from the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design, Beckmans College of Design, Carl Malmsten Furniture Studies and Berghs School of Communication. Hall B

Formex Pop-up Shop
Formex has together with Trendstefan opened up a temporary shop with only the latest news launched at the fair. The visitor will be able to just browse or purchase the newest interior details. East Entrance, Hall C
