Stockholm buzzing with design in Week 6

It is soon time for this year’s design event! By combining Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair with Stockholm Design Week, Week 6 has now become a permanent event in the calendars of buyers, architects, designers and journalists from all over the world. With the trade fair at the middle of it all, the entire city will be buzzing with around 80 events, installations and parties. Many of the exhibitions will be open to the general public.

The first-ever Design Week was held in 2002 and today it consists of more than 80 design-related events spread throughout the city.

“It is our ambition to make Stockholm the natural display window for Scandinavian design. We believe that it is very important for our visitors get as positive a total experience from the week as possible. Design Week functions as a meeting place for the industry even outside of Stockholmsmässan’s halls. At the same time, it is also a party for all design-lovers out there, since many of the exhibitions are open to the general public. As the initiator behind Stockholm Design Week, we are pleased that the week is growing and developing,” says Cecilia Nyberg, Project Area Manager for Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair and Stockholm Design Week.
