Swedavia inaugurates new Terminal 2 at Stockholm Arlanda Airport
Press Release Apr 23, 2013 12:30 CEST
Today at Stockholm Arlanda Airport was the inauguration of the new Terminal 2, which resembles a modern city airport with speedy, smooth flows. The terminal has expanded by more than 2,000 square metres. In 2015, a new baggage sorting facility will also be inaugurated, with Swedavia as a result investing a total of about 400 million Swedish kronor in the refurbishment of Terminal 2
The number of international passengers in March increased slightly compared to 2012 as measured by the number of passengers at Swedavia's eleven airports. Meanwhile the number of domestic passengers fell, which led to a three per cent decrease in the total number of passengers compared to the same period in 2012, due largely to the Easter weekend falling in March.
Today an exhibition has opened at Stockholm Arlanda Aiport, that will pay homage to the souvenir and its history. A selection of souvenirs dating from the 1960s to the present day will be on display. At the same time, a competition will be held to announce the 2013 Swedish souvenir of the year at Arlanda.
