Apr 23, 2013 12:30 CEST Today at Stockholm Arlanda Airport was the inauguration of the new Terminal 2, which resembles a modern city airport with speedy, smooth flows. The terminal has expanded by more than 2,000 square metres. In 2015, a new baggage sorting facility will also be inaugurated, with Swedavia as a result investing a total of about 400 million Swedish kronor in the refurbishment of Terminal 2
Apr 10, 2013 15:31 CEST The number of international passengers in March increased slightly compared to 2012 as measured by the number of passengers at Swedavia's eleven airports. Meanwhile the number of domestic passengers fell, which led to a three per cent decrease in the total number of passengers compared to the same period in 2012, due largely to the Easter weekend falling in March.

A selection of souvenirs dating from the 1960s to the present day will be on display. At the same time, a competition will be held to announce the 2013 Swedish souvenir of the year at Arlanda.

At the same time, the number of landings in scheduled and charter operations was down three per cent. The result is a combination of increased air travel and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
Oct 08, 2012 11:15 CEST Departures will now be smoother at Stockholm Arlanda Airport as a result of a new, time-saving self-service solution for checking in baggage. The first airlines to offer the new service beginning October 10 are SAS and Norwegian Air Shuttle.
Aug 30, 2012 11:15 CEST Free WiFi is being launched for all passengers at Swedavia’s airports – a new service available to anyone who wants to use their time at the airport to surf or work with high-speed Internet. Passengers will have access to three hours of Internet or 100 MB a day at no cost.
Aug 15, 2012 10:00 CEST Swedavia’s operating profit for the second quarter of 2012 was SEK 233 (266) million. Revenue for the same period was SEK 1,248 (1,203) million. The period was characterised by more passengers as well as increased capital spending. Compared to the same period in 2011, the number of passengers was up 3.2 per cent, while capital spending for the period was SEK 2,164 (193) million.
Jul 24, 2012 12:01 CEST The number of passengers at Swedavia´ s eleven airports in Sweden continues to increase. In June 2012 the total number of passengers grew by three percent, compared to the same period last year. Accumulated for the first half of 2012, passenger numbers has increased by five percent to 16.1 million.

The terminal is being designed based on passenger needs and will provide twice the amount of seating as before, with many areas designed as work spaces and meeting places with a lounge feel.

Meanwhile, Swedish travellers are choosing Spain in ever larger numbers. Foreign visitors at Swedavia’s airports accounted for a full 83 per cent of the increase in international travel during the year, which shows that Sweden continues to grow as an attractive destination.
