Stockholm Arlanda pioneered a number of innovations in air traffic management to reduce carbon emissions. Now the airport, in partnership with the Swedish Transport Administration and Viktoria Institute, is further reducing its environmental impact while making door-to-door travel more sustainable.

Jan 05, 2012 14:05 CET Never before have so many passengers flown via Stockholm Arlanda Airport. In 2011, the number of passengers exceeded 19 million for the first time. The previous record was set in 2000, and a major reason this record was surpassed is the growing number of foreign visitors coming to Sweden.
