Swedish Hasbeens Releases Limited Edition A’ La Plateau

This spring Swedish Hasbeens aspire to reach a new height in the world of wooden clogs. A height not seen since Bianca Jagger and Jerry Hall shook the dance floors on Studio 54 in the 70’s. Now Hasbeens are releasing it in the form of a more chunky style - the plateau sandals, one of this summers Hasbeens Limited Editions.

The Limited Edition Plateau style consists of two new plateau styles that will be out and about from May 13th, the Haga Plateau and the Antique Plateau - in yellow, nature, black and white.

- We want to bring back the chunky platforms that all the funky moms wore when they once ruled all the dance floors, says designer Emy Blixt. The plateau style is needless to say an historical fashion phenomenon designed to combine the added height of platforms with the support and stability of lower shoes and for a completely outrageous look on the dance floor, Emy concludes.

The Plateau sandal and Antique Plateau will be sold starting in May at Swedish Hasbeens Stockholm store on Åsögatan 174 as well as in the London Pop Up Shop at Boxpark Shoreditch as well as online on Swedishhasbeens.com.

1970 in southern of Sweden. Her name was Anita and she was the hottest looking ABBA-mum. While smoking Camel she screamed at her kids until her curlers fell out and just looked fabulous in her white high-heeled clogs. One summer day in 2006 Emy Blixt found the shoes Anita wore in the basement of an old clog factory and started Swedish Hasbeens.

Our ambition is to continue to release more incoherent and fun shoes and stuff inspired by Hasbeens that once ruled the planet. The Hasbeens toffels, bags and belts are based on original models from the past and are made of super quality vegetable tanned natural grain leather since it just becomes insanely beautiful when aged. Our production methods and material are kind to nature and people. Happy toffels make happy people.
