Eklund Foundation Announces 2019 Grant Recipients

The Eklund Foundation for Odontological Research and Education is pleased to announce the projects receiving this year’s grants amounting to approximately EUR 160,000. The Eklund Foundation now supports odontological research projects for the fourth year running.

Jan Derks and Tord Berglundh from the Institute of Odontology at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden recently received funding amounting to SEK 930,000 from the Eklund Foundation for their study “Periodontitis, Peri-implantitis and Diabetes - a registry study”. The two researchers gave an interview at their visit to TePe Oral Hygiene Products AB in Malmö, Sweden, in June 2019.

Soon time to apply for Eklund Foundation research grants

​It is time for researchers within dentistry to prepare their applications for funding from the Eklund Foundation in 2019. The application period starts on 1 April and the last day of submission is 31 May. Experimental and clinical studies within all fields of dentistry are welcome, but projects that can be related to periodontology, implantology, or cariology will be prioritised.
