NLSDays 2017 - Uppsala BIO promotes Industrial Partnership

Meet Uppsala BIO and learn about the program Industrial partnership during the partnering conference NLSD, this year in Malmö. Or meet some of the companies taking part in the program.

Uppsala BIO has since the start of NLSDays offered subsidized participation and coaching for small companies in the East-Middle Sweden region to optimize their success at the conference. Anna Ridderstad Wollberg is one of the project leaders for the program Industrial partnership where the goal is to help small or medium sized companies to make industrial contact:

- At some point during the commercialisation of a product there will always be a phase where a company need industrial input to evolve. It could be business know-how, global market knowledge, validation and a commercial strategy, financing or a co-development partner.

So far Uppsala BIO has supported the participation of in total 34 unique start-ups with the participation at NLSDays.

Life science companies from East-Middle Sweden
2017 you can meet four companies coached by Uppsala BIO in the partnering booths. Astrego Diagnostics, promoting a device that analyses individual bacteria that is as fast as the biological response; Novus Scientific AB, producing the world’s first long-term resorbable surgical mesh; Pharmacolog developing solutions and products that can prevent drug administration errors and NANOS, a nanoplasmonic biosensor technology that offers real-time, online detection of biomolecular analytes.

Industrial collaboration with GE
Today large industrial players actively seek out technologies, collaborations or partners to complement their own pipeline or activities. One of the large companies that Uppsala BIO cooperates with within the Industrial Partnership program is GE Healthcare. In the Stockholm – Uppsala booth you can also meet Stefan Löfås, Science Director, Strategic Technologies, GE Healthcare, September 13, at 13-14 am, to talk about industrial collaboration.
