A wine trip to Chile is an extraordinary experience that will take you on a sensory trip from the northern region of Coquimbo Valley, Atacama and Aconcagua are very well-known and some of their wines have been compared to those made from famous appellations of Bordeaux, France. The Central Valley has some celebrated regions as well, including Maipo Valley, Colchagua and Curico Valley. The southern region is home to the Bio-Bio and Itata Valleys known as the cooler wine regions producing refreshing whites and light red wines.

The country produces some of the best Cabernet Sauvignons, high-quality Syrahs and traditional Carménères, Chile’s flagship grape. But in recent times, it has also started producing some superb white wines with Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. A wine tasting in Chile could also see you tasting some Pinot Noirs produced from the cooler areas of the country.

Marvel at all the fantastic experiences Chile has to offer and start planning your South American adventure with Wine Paths.
