Clipper CS401 is a new compact and economic floor saw. The low centre of gravity improves the user’s control of the machine and reduces vibrations according to the manufacturer.
Clipper’s new floor saw CS401 is used for dry or wet cutting of all types of floors. The wide frame with the low centre of gravity makes it easier for the operator to manoeuvre the machine. The heavy-duty construction makes the floor saw robust which reduces the vibration level, and the adjustable handle makes the user’s working position ergonomic. The setting of the cutting depth is quick and easy thanks to the continuous depth control with a crank and gauge.
The machine is available with two different petrol engines: 6,6 kW (9 Hp) with a maximum blade diameter of 400 mm and 9,6 kW (13 Hp) with a maximum blade diameter of 450 mm. Maximum cutting depth is 145 mm and 170 mm respectively. The machine is equipped with a removable 20 l water tank which makes wet cutting easier in isolated locations.
“Thanks to the new floor saw’s low centre of gravity and low vibrations it’s easier and more comfortable for the operator to control the machine” says Franck Pichoff, product manager at Saint-Gobain Abrasives.
