The new range of Norton BDX R842 flap discs from Saint-Gobain Abrasives offers technical performance for all metal removal, deburring, shaping and sharpening applications. The unique zirconium grain has self-sharpening properties with controlled grain fractures continuously producing sharp, new abrasive points. This provides long life on even difficult to grind materials including steel and stainless steel, as well as softer metals like aluminum.
The new range of BDX flap discs replaces the original product line, offering better performance in all applications, at a very competitive price level. Available in conical and flat shape with fibre backing and flat shape on a plastic backing, both in the sizes 115, 125 and 180 mm in various grit sizes.
Fanny Kratz, Saint-Gobain Abrasives MRO Product Manager EMEA explains; “The newly developed BDX flap disc is thicker, removes twice the material and lasts twice as long as the original BDX discs. The product range offers a complete, easy to use solution for all metal removal.”
Saint-Gobain Abrasives, the world’s leading manufacturer of abrasives, is positioned at the leading edge of innovation and service, providing the most comprehensive abrasives solutions packages to its customers via a portfolio of highly recognised brands such as: Norton, Norton Clipper, Winter, and Flexovit.
