3gamma revamps its offering and capability portfolio

Leading IT Management consultancy 3gamma complements its current portfolio of capabilities to better support its strategic direction and help clients deliver value in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The principal change is the introduction of the new capability Emerging Technologies.

In the new digital economy, IT has moved from being a reactive cost-centre to a proactive business partner. The IT organisation not only delivers IT services – it is also a driver of business development. New concepts, ideas and technologies need to be identified, understood, evaluated and put into an IT and business context. This requires expert market knowledge, an agile approach to technology adoption and deep conceptual, technological and architectural knowledge coupled with a strong business-acumen.

Against this background, 3gamma upgrades its capabilities to clarify its market offering and better serve the current and future needs of clients. The six new capabilities are: Strategy & Governance, Emerging Technologies, Sourcing & Legal, Risk & Assurance, Operational Excellence and Transformation & Change.

Within the newly formed Emerging Technologies capability, 3gamma will be supporting clients to:

• Identify and prioritise emerging technology based concepts required to realise business goals and objectives.
• Accelerate adoption and maximise the benefits of new technology investments by ensuring that solutions are operational and realise intended benefits in both an IT and business context.
• Create architectural solutions to define and implement an innovative design, integrated with underlying IT components.

The emerging technologies capability is a response to the changing role of the CIO. IT is no longer just about servers and networks – it’s about delivering customer value across multiple internal and external touch-points. The CIO has become an integral part in developing not only technology strategies but also go-to-market strategies, and is expected to deliver new technologies that drive business development, marketing and customer offerings.
