AB Svensk Filmindustri’s production company Tre Vänner took the grand slam when the nominations for this year’s Guldbaggen award were revealed earlier today. No less than eight nominations make Tre Vänner the most nominated production company of all.
A man called Ove (En man som heter Ove) is the big winner among the nominated titles. Six out of Tre Vänner’s eight nominations concerns A man called Ove, for example Best Movie, Best Male actor in a leading role and Best female actress in a supporting role.
– Not only does A man called Ove break the box office records – these nominations make Tre Vänner the most nominated and the most commercially successful production company of 2015. We see this as a result of our strategy, namely to produce films that reach out to a broad audience and at the same time maintain a high quality, says Fredrik Wikström Nicastro, Head of Film at Tre Vänner.
Except for the six nominations for A man called Ove, two more films were nominated: The master plan (Jönssonligan – den perfekta stöten), nominated for Best audio/audio design and JerryMaya's Detective Agency - Stella Nostra (Lasse-Majas detektivbyrå – Stella Nostra), nominated for Best visual effects.
Also, two films that are distributed and have been co-produced by SF were nominated: A holy mess (En underbar jävla jul) and Eternal Summer (Odödliga).
