12 January, Apollo’s management team held a meeting with Albania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Ditmir Bushati, and the Ambassador at the Albania Embassy in Stockholm, Mr. Ilir Abdi, in order to discuss how Albania can become an ever bigger success as a tourist destination than it already is.
–We see great opportunities with Albania in the future! After the success in Saranda in South Albania, we increase our business this summer at the new destination, Durrës. We will offer direct flights from Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki, and Copenhagen, to the colorful capital of Albania, Tirana. This is, without a doubt, a holiday destination to count on, says Leif Vase Larsen, CEO at Apollo.
Apollo will be the first Swedish Tour Operator to offer direct flights and package holidays to Albania in the summer 2018. In connection with this, Apollo introduces seven new hotels, one of which is the concept hotel Fafa Grand Blue Resort, as an Apollo Mondo Family Resort. The new hotels are located in the summer city of Durrës, beautifully situated, with long stretches of sandy beaches along the coast of Central Albania.
–Much suggests that Albania will be the big travel news of this summer. We have noticed a great deal of interest and curiosity from our Swedish travelers, which also reflects in the number of bookings for this summer. Many want to take the opportunity to explore Albania, and the Durrës area is an exciting complement to Saranda in the south part of the country, says Peter Browall, General Manager at Apollo Sweden.
