Arctic Minds is establishing in the north

There's a new kid in town, or at least outside of town. 

Arctic Minds is an independent production company in Sweden with the north of Sweden as it's epicenter. With office in Stockholm and now Luleå they are establishing their business in the north. 

- We want to be where it happens. And with a small office in Luleå, and with possibilities to scale up when it's needed we are where we want to be, says Mattias Barsk.

With growing gaps between the north and the south, the urban and the rural, the stories from the north are becoming more important to tell. 

- Ever since I was a kid I thought we weren't important. But with the emerging tourism and minority questions on an international level it's not a question of IF but HOW you should tell the stories, says Mattias Barsk.

At the moment they are producing a documentary about Navis Trophy - a snow mobile caravan that covered 210 kilometers, and in the near future there is more to come.

- It was a totally crazy and unique event that we were the only ones to cover. For me snow mobiles are culture, just as reading a book, says Mattias Barsk.

- There is so much to do. Right now Arctic Minds are ready to go. We only need some thumbs up from the outside.
