Nordic Media Insights – the new meeting place for the Nordic media industry

Bonnier Business Media and Resumé launches Nordic Media Insights, the new meeting place for the media industry in northern Europe. The two-day conference in Stockholm is all about the industry’s biggest opportunities and challenges in the ongoing digital transformation.

Digitalization, changing consumer behavior and increasing competition have put the Nordic media houses under great pressure to change.

On 13-14 June 2017, Bonnier Business Media and Resumé arranges a conference for all executives, managers and professionals working with this shift.

“There is a growing need in the media industry to work together to solve common challenges. This applies to both our content and future business models”, says Johan Såthe, Editor-in-chief of Resumé.

“Many of the challenges are also the same wherever you work. Therefore, it feels right for Resumé, as Scandinavia's leading business magazine in media and communications, to host Nordic Media Insights.

The conference, held at the The Brewery in Stockholm, will consist of over 30 speakers and six program tracks covering different aspects of the transformation of media:

  • The future of advertising
  • Technology and content innovation
  • New revenue opportunities
  • Strategies for organizational success
  • Global platforms: Friends or foes?
  • The new age of consumer revenues

Editor of Nordic Media Insights is Fredrik Svedjetun, previously Editor-in-chief of Dagens Media.

“The speakers will include leading experts both in and outside the Nordic region. What they all have in common is that they have made significant progress in key areas”, he says.

Four speakers are already confirmed:

  • Melissa Bell, publisher of Vox Media and cofounder of Vox.com.
  • Marcus Rich, CEO of Time Inc UK.
  • Samantha Barry, head of social media, CNN Worldwide.
  • Fiona McKinnon, founder of Turn Left Digital and general manager at The Pangaea Alliance (The Guardian, Financial Times, Reuters, The Week and others).

“These speakers represent exactly what we want to offer at this conference. During the spring we will continually add more interesting speakers, and it is a work that will be done in close cooperation with the target group of this conference”, says Fredrik Svedjetun.
