Yonam – design Elin Lindström and Liga Bulmiste

Yonam is an office chair that bridges the gap between the environment that we in the Western world have created, and the environment we want to create. From affluence to well-being, from efficiency to empathy, from industry to intimacy. With influences from the Orient Yonam makes it possible to forego the constant sedentary behaviour, not by making demands on its surroundings but with the promise of a better future.

I samarbete med möbelföretaget Edsbyn har formstudenter vid Beckmans Designhögskola utforskat framtidens kontorsmöbel och tagit fram sex möbelidéer som visas i Greenhouse VH03:42 på Stockholm Furniture Fair 7-11 februari.

Beckmansstudenter vill få människor att sitta hälsosamt

Till Stockholm Furniture Fair fick sistaårsstudenterna på formprogrammet vid Beckmans Designhögskola i uppgift att undersöka kontorsmiljön och ta i tur med två aktuella problem – stillasittande och koncentrationsproblem. Elin Lindström och Liga Bulmiste bestämde sig för att förändra det ändlösa sittandet genom att flytta upp golvet i sittnivå och skapa en ny typ av kontorsstol - Yonam.
