A selection of Croatian product design is on show for the first time to tourists in the town of Hvar on the Dalmatian island of the same name as the exhibition "Reason & Feelings" opened on Saturday at Gallery Loggia, one of the main Renaissance buildings in Dalmatia, writes daily newspaper Slobodna Dalmacija.

The exhibiton opened in Hvar after it recently premiered in the capital Zagreb and it was also part of the recent Belgrade Design Week. The exhibition was conceived by Tatjana Bartakovic, a design consultant and a longtime promoter of Croatian design, while the exhibition layout is designed by Rijeka designer Svetlana Despot.

The exhibition features around 40 selected products from 14 brands of domestic design and represents Croatian knowledge, and for the first time in modern Croatia, it is based on design culture.

"We are especially pleased that the exhibition "Reason & Feelings" is being held at the Loggia Gallery, supporting the importance of Croatian design culture and the desire to present it to the international market, which is present in a high percentage in Hvar during the tourist season. We are co-organisers of this project because it combines the strategic culture of Croatian manufacturing, design, communication, home values, and it is all quality content for the modern tourist offering," said Pjerino Bebic, mayor of Hvar.
