Fågelviksgruppen sells cloud-based systems for traffic control and apps to two taxi companies in Finland.

By closing these deals, Fågelviksgruppen’s technology company Cabonline makes their first international business outside the consortium. The customers are active in the Finnish taxi industry and they purchased driver apps, traffic control systems and customer specific apps for booking.

Cabonline has finalised deals with two Finnish taxi companies for delivery of the market’s most advanced platform for taxi technology. During autumn 2015 Caboline, through Taxisystem, delivers traffic control systems, driver apps and customer specific apps for booking to two Finnish taxi companies with operations in the Helsinki region and on Åland. For Fågelviksgruppen these deals mark the entry to international technology business and broadens the consortium’s offer outside the traditional taxi services. The Finnish customers are the first license-takers outside the consortium to use Cabonline’s market leading technology. Cabonline is currently established in Sweden, Norway, England and Holland through Taxisystems which was integrated into the company in April 2015.

One of the customers, Mariehamns Taxi, currently utilize traffic control system and driver apps based on Taxisystems cloud-based platform. The new deal expands the current business as Cabonline will develop and deliver a customer specific booking app adapted to the Åland market and customers. For the second customer Cabonline will deliver traffic control system and driver apps through cloud-based systems. This customer will also receive a customer specific booking app based on Finnish customers’ requirements and needs.

- Taxisystem and Cabonline will jointly develop our cloud-based taxi platform with a state of the art booking app for travelers. Additionally, we will deliver our first joint project in Finland which is very exciting. The Finnish market has transformed from being a closed market to a more open market similar to the Swedish one. For us this is an opportunity to reach additional customers in the Finnish Market, says Henrik Forzelius, CEO Taxisystem

- The deals in Finland are strategically very important for Fågelviksgruppen. Not only do we establish new areas of business but also reach a broader segment of the market with our leading technology. We are very proud to establish our presence in the Finnish market, says Ole Oftedal, CEO Fågelviksgruppen
