Casumo enters the esports arena – joins forces with LGB eSports

Online casino Casumo to sponsor the CS: GO team LGB eSports. A cooperation aiming to enhance the future successes of LGB eSports and the esports industry overall.

The Norweigan esports team LGB eSports was founded in 2013 with an ambition to wipe out the boundaries between men and women in esports. To this day LGB eSports is one of the most successful teams in the popular game CS: GO. The team is supported by fans from all over the world and consists of players from Norway, Sweden and France.

- It feels great to be able to support LGB eSports. They are awesome and have been placing themselves in top positions during the most recent tournaments. We believe they have the power to leave a positive mark on the international esports arena, says Markus Thunholm, Marketing Manager at Casumo.

Casumo has previously been sponsoring a handful of streamers on the popular esports channel Twitch but haven’t, until now, found a team they wanted sponsor wholeheartedly. The plan has, from the start, been to find a team with great potential, were Casumo is supposed to be a partner in the team’s future successes. This potential was found in LGB eSports. And the fact that LGB eSports actively works to prevent preconceptions and stereotypes among women in the esports industry is another plus.

- Already at our first meeting we realized that Casumo would be a fantastic partner to us. We share the same desire to develop the esports industry and to run a successful CS: GO-team which also can act as a role model, says Cecilia Johansson, COO at LGB eSports.

Casumo is planning on further esports ventures which are likely to be announced this spring. In Januari 3.4 million Swedish Crowns were donated to Musikhjälpen following a bidding war on a commercial together with the Swedish TV profiles Filip and Fredrik.
