Den 29 november 2017, anordnar Östersjöstaternas råd (CBSS) i samarbete med Regeringskansliet den första prisutdelningen för arbetet mot människohandel i Östersjöregionen. Prisutdelningsceremonin äger rum på Fotografiska i Stockholm och inleds av statsrådet Åsa Regnér. Vinnarna av priset för arbetet mot människohandel är tre organisationer som valts av representanter från 11 medlemsländer i CBSS.

The Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) is an inter-governmental organisation. The Members of the Council are Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia, and Sweden, as well as the European Union. The CBSS facilitates cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region through networks and projects, providing a platform for governments, organisations, communities, and people to build and strengthen partnerships. The Council consists of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs from each Member State and a representative from the European Union External Action Service. The Presidency of the Council rotates among the Member States on an annual basis. Sweden currently holds the Presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States 2017-2018.
