iDeal just launched their new e-commerce site, with a new design and a new improved technical architecture with support for fast implementation on new markets, languages, currencies, warehouses and more. Their previous Woocommerce site has been put aside for a globally scalable solution on Swedish fashion and lifestyle platform, Centra. The new site is built on Centra’s headless API, by e-commerce specialized web agency, Grebban.
- "To launch stores on new markets is very complex when you’re dealing with the high amount of traffic and volume of orders as we do. Currencies, warehouse logistics, individual content management per market and pricing need to seamlessly work together from one platform. Fortunately, this transition has been very smooth thanks to a close cooperation with our new platform partner Centra. They have superior functionality and features for brands that want to scale up globally with a multi-market strategy; just in line with our current needs", says Joachim Lindström, CEO of iDeal of Sweden.
iDeal of Sweden’s international expansion is currently ongoing. By the end of the year they’re counting on being live in over 30 new markets. All with individual setups for currencies, languages, PSPs, warehouses and more. They’re also expanding their ecommerce team, recruiting 3-4 new positions monthly. Today the team consists of 85 people, but is forecast to grow to over 130 employees by the end of 2019.
Joachim Lindström adds:
- "Our strategy is to have about half of our revenue streams from our own ecommerce channels. We are aggressively recruiting to be able to match our growth-rate and meet the new demands that emerge as we continue to grow. The team will also work towards implementing omni-channel solutions as we open up physical retail stores abroad on international markets"
Centra is creating the next wave in digital retail with an all-in-one ecommerce platform for B2B and B2C. Brands across Scandinavia and the world trust Centra to seamlessly connect people to products. We're a medium-sized company with offices in Stockholm, Sweden and Wroclaw, Poland.
