Lucas Bols is the world’s oldest distilled spirits brand with a strong position in the bartending community and a unique heritage dating back to 1575. In 2007, Lucas Bols launched its first Bols Around the World competition - a bartender competition that attracts thousands of bartenders from all over the world. This year Bols Around the World celebrates its 9th anniversary and goes back to its roots: the Dutch spirit Bols Genever. Being the no. 1 Genever brand worldwide, Lucas Bols celebrates Bols Around the World 2016/2017: the BOLS Genever Edition.

THE MISSION

BATW is a platform for bartenders that aims to grow bartenders careers, as well as their passion for bartending. BATW increases bartender’s knowledge by providing education and inspiration, showcasing their talent and growing their international network.

We are looking for the next BOLS Genever Pioneer!

The BOLS Genever pioneer is an allround bartender with a business focus. The Pioneer has extensive BOLS Genever knowledge, but also knows how to truly experiment with BOLS Genever. The BOLS Genever pioneer comes up with new ideas and dares to lead the crowd. It’s the classic bartender, with a passion for the newest trends.

PARTICIPATION

Subscribe your interest to participate NOW at www.bolsaroundtheworld.com. Profile creation is open from September 1st until October 31st. November 1st online heats will start, working towards the regional finals in February 2017: a visit of one of the BOLS Genever Icons IN YOUR BAR!

THE GRAND FINAL

Winners from 7 regions around the world will come to Amsterdam from May 8th - May 10th 2017 for the Grand Final. They will showcase their BOLS Genever concepts in the ‘BOLS Geneverstreet’ in the heart of Amsterdam.

THE PRIZE

The regional winners will compete for the Grand prize: the “BOLS GENEVER PIONEER AROUND THE WORLD TOUR”, consisting of several stages to develop stronger Genever knowledge and Bartending skills around the world. Learn to distill with the Lucas Bols Master Distiller in Amsterdam, visit a Masterclass at Tales of the Cocktail USA and finally master yourice-carving skills in Asia.
