NOV Stockholm University, Lecture Hall B4
Ewa Björling, Minister for Trade, Sweden
Amelia Kyambadde, Minister for Trade and Industry, Uganda
On this seminar we are joined by two ministers of trade, speaking to us about the growing globalization of commerce between the northern and southern hemisphere. Sweden is currently working on a policy where trade with seven of the fastest growing economies in the world, all located in sub-Saharan Africa, will continue to increase in the foreseeable future. What is to be traded? How does it work? What are the benefits? How are the governments ensuring that trade will be beneficial for both populations? How are matters of corporate social responsibility and corruption handled? Is there transparency? What are the most critical points of discussion in the shaping of policy for this growing trade?
Entrance is free for UF members; non-members pay a 20 SEK entrance fee. We can arrange a membership card on the spot. The seminar will be in English.
