Gretsch®Introduces Renown™ Purewood Series in American Hickory
GOTHENBURG, Swe. (August 13th, 2012) – Gretsch Drums is offering a limited run of 2012 model Renown Purewood shell packs. The wood of choice for this year is American Hickory. A very hard and shock-resistant wood, the shells produce a lively but controlled tone with a powerful, resonant kick. Each drum is finished in a gloss lacquer to accentuate the distinct grain pattern of the wood.
Gretsch Renown Purewood Hickory drum sets are available in two configurations, a five-piece shell pack with 20” bass drum and a six-piece shell pack with 22” bass drum. Both are fitted with chrome hardware, die-cast hoops and Evans drumheads.
The new Gretsch Renown Purewood Hickory shell packs are available in very limited quantities at participating Gretsch Drums retailers.
