FundedByMe confirms Country Manager to manage Norway operations

Stockholm-based FundedByMe has announced the appointment of Aleksander Nyquist Langmyhr as Country Manager in Norway. Aleksander, who joined FundedByMe in early August 2013, has experience from the financial services sector as both a financial advisor and auditor as well as having been an entrepreneur himself. FundedByMe Norway has offices in Oslo at Mesh, Norway’s leading co-working space for creatives and startups.

Aleksander is a firm believer in the many opportunities crowdfunding provides for entrepreneurs, business angels, professional investors as well as those just getting interested in crowdfunding as a way of diversifying their financial portfolios. As part of launching FundedByMe in Norway, Aleksander is co-hosting a pitch and educational event at Mesh in Oslo on October 14^th where the FundedByMe platform will be introduced to Oslo´s bustling startup and investor scene. “My sincere belief is that FundedByMe will increase innovation in Norway and create jobs in new segments,” he says.

FundedByMe Chief Operating Officer, Pontus Frohde, agrees, “In the current Norwegian climate the majority of traditional investments are made in the oil-sector. FundedByMe brings to the table an innovative platform that makes it possible for entrepreneurs - in all sectors - to reach a large global audience of potential investors.”

Prior to joining FundedByMe, Aleksander spent more than four years at the consulting firm, PriceWaterhouseCoopers where he worked as an auditor and later as an advisor within Mergers & Acquisitions, providing him with highly relevant experience for his role in FundedByMe Norway. Prior to joining FundedByMe in August 2013, he spent six month working on an independent application project, giving him the opportunity to experience the life as an entrepreneur.

Aleksander holds a BSc in Business Administration and Economics from Copenhagen Business School and an MSc with distinction in International Accounting and Finance from Cass Business School in London.
