The SupplyFlow company Grafokett® is intensifying its environmental initiatives and replacing its entire fleet of petrol and diesel cars with seven hybrid electric vehicles. New Passat GTEs and Golf GTEs are being delivered by Börjessons Bil of Ängelholm.
Grafokett® is ISO 14001 certified and sees hybrid electric vehicles as a step towards a better environment. Hybrids were chosen over pure electrics largely because, owing to the limited charging possibilities and batteries, the range of the latter does not match the company’s aims.
The environmental initiatives are focused on more than just cars. Discussions are ongoing with the various landlords of the company’s offices in Sweden. The goal is to have charging points not only for own vehicles, but also to encourage customers and visitors to make choices that are more climate smart.
Volkswagen was not the obvious choice from the start. The company’s focus on finding a company selling a marque that offered both large and small hybrid electrics took up quite some time. Finally, the decision went to Börjessons Bil, a local company in Ängelholm. One of the factors in the choice was the interest, care and commitment shown by sales manager Åse Jeppson.
“When it comes to hybrid electric vehicles, flexibility and range are currently important for our business customers. However, they also want a ‘real’ car with all the functions and new technologies of today’s vehicles. Furthermore, it has to be stylish. As a VW, Audi, Skoda and SEAT dealer, we have wide offerings and can meet every driver’s requirements. We are extremely happy that we could help Grafokett® find a solution and supply their cars. At the same time, it’s not just about selling cars. This deal also includes servicing, tyre storage, accessory supply and everything else that is necessary. The solution provided by the total package is the most important thing,” comments Åse Jeppson.
Five of the hybrid electrics are now on the road. The final two are due soon and the fleet will then be environmentally certified.
“We know that seven vehicles won’t appreciably lower the global temperature! However... We can do something. That’s why we chose to go electric,” smiles Daniel Nehl, Grafokett’s chief marketing officer.
