Gynius AB and SDA Medical Partner to Fight Cervical Cancer in Thailand
Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer amongst women (behind breast cancer) in Thailand and a major public health problem there. Thai women have been reported to have a low rate of cervical cancer screening (27.7% of the 80% goal of WHO) and incidence of cervical cancer in Thailand was 23.4 in 100,000. The "see and treat" concept is often advocated and screening with Visual Inspection with Acetic (VIA) is most commonly used.
Gynius is excited to announce that it is entering the Thai market together in cooperation with Jean-Luc Hudry from SDA Medical (www.sdamedical.com), and will be introducing tele-colposcopy using the Gynocular colposcope, thus providing greater access to high quality cervical examinations for women throughout Thailand!
