The Stockholm School of Economics and Sciences Po launch a dual master’s degree framework

The Stockholm School of Economics (SSE), the leading business school in Northern Europe, and Sciences Po, France’s leading university in the social sciences, have reached an agreement to create a cross-disciplinary dual master’s degree framework.

The first year is spent at Sciences Po in Paris studying international affairs at PSIA (Paris School of International Affairs), and the second year is spent at SSE in Stockholm studying business administration and/or economics. Upon completion of the coursework, students receive two master’s degrees, one in business and/or economics from SSE and one in their chosen field of international affairs from Sciences Po (PSIA).

“This agreement with Sciences Po is an important step in establishing even more clearly that SSE is an international business school working to educate leaders who will transform the world they live in and help shape society, both today and tomorrow” said Lars Strannegård, President of the Stockholm School of Economics.

“Through this new agreement, Sciences Po will combine its expertise in the social sciences with SSE’s knowledge in business and economics. Students will receive an interdisciplinary learning experience in a demanding programme specially developed by the two universities. They will be well positioned to become leaders in both international affairs and business” said Frédéric Mion, President of Sciences Po.

This framework is aimed at graduate students planning careers in diplomacy, international organisations and other areas of social and public policy at the national, European and global level. The two-year degree will accept qualified applicants from around the world and begin in the fall of 2015. Several curricular combinations are possible, and prospective students must meet admission criteria for the chosen masters programmes at both schools.
