This year's MBA scholar is Louise Croneborg – Jones, Water Resources Management Specialist at the World Bank

For the tenth consecutive year a scholarship is awarded for Executive MBA studies at the Stockholm School of Economics. The scholarship (worth SEK 465,000) is based on cooperation between Dagens Industri, the Stockholm School of Economics and utbildning.se, and is given to the next generation of leaders in order to strengthen Swedish business.

- The purpose of the scholarship is to promote further education and to raise the level of skills among the next generation of leaders, says Karin Wiström, Director SSE MBA at the Stockholm School of Economics.

The scholarship is given to a person who, by achievements to date and future potential, is expected to get maximum leverage of the program. By strengthening the leadership and expertise in responsible business development, the candidate will be able to operate for the benefit of the company or organization and be a good ambassador for Sweden. Particular emphasis is put on the person's potential to create new business through entrepreneurship or intrapreneurship and through Sweden-based business in an international market.

The 2016 MBA Scholarship is awarded to Louise Croneborg-Jones, with the following motivation:

"Louise is a driven, passionate and optimistic team-worker with substantial international experience. She is working with one of the most significant challenges of our time; the supply of fresh water. In her key position as Water Resources Management Specialist for the World Bank, she leads international aid and intergovernmental projects which requires great collaborative and diplomatic skills. Through the SSE MBA program Louise will receive solid general management knowledge and support in achieving her full potential in current and future leadership roles.With her experience, commitment, passion and inner drive, Louise is a very worthy recipient of the 2017 MBA scholarship".

- Sweden has a long tradition of advocating for sustainable management of water. And we also have an entrepreneurial, groundbreaking IT sector. Through this MBA opportunity, one of my main goals is to explore how we can bridge these strong sectors in Sweden to find lasting solutions to global water challenges, says Louise Croneborg-Jones.
