AKG® K 830 BT On-Ear Mini Headphones Utilise Bluetooth® Wireless Technology
New Headphones Stream Music and Let Users Talk Handsfree Without Hassle of Cords for On-the-Go Lifestyle
HARMAN International Industries, Incorporated (NYSE:HAR), today announced the availability of the AKG K 830 BT on-ear mini headphones with Bluetooth® wireless technology, designed to eliminate tangled wires for consumers with an on-the-go lifestyle. Running through the airport, catching the next conference call or listening to the latest tunes on a plane will be a much more pleasant – and completely wireless – experience. The K 830 BT headphones are compatible with iPod, iPhone or other Bluetooth portable device, and stream music to listeners’ ears without the hassle of wires.
The source device is controlled from the ear cup of the AKG K 830 BT Bluetooth headphones, allowing users to raise and lower volume, answer and end phone calls, and play, pause or skip music tracks. Consumers can leave their source device safely in a pocket, a backpack or a briefcase the majority of the time while on the go. The built-in battery allows for up to 10 hours of playback time between charges. A directional microphone, also on the ear cup, eliminates the need for a boom mic.
‘iPhone charger, laptop AC adapter, BlackBerry® headphones . . . we have too many cords in our lives’, said, Thijs Linthorst, general manager, HARMAN International EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Asia), Russia and India. ’In a world where technology, transportation and communication seem to be transforming at light speed, AKG has unveiled a brand-new pair of wireless headphones that not only brings the signature studio-quality sound we are known for to every ear, we have designed it to perfectly and conveniently fit into every fast-paced lifestyle for the utmost ease and portability in sound experience’.
The K 830 BT on-ear mini headphones with Bluetooth wireless technology have a proprietary 3D-Axis2 folding headband, which offers hours of comfortable use without pinching or ear fatigue.
The AKG K 830 BT on-ear mini headphones will be available in November 2010 and will cost €149. For more information, please visit www.akg.com.
