A key issue in European family policies is the role of women participation in the fork force and daycare for children, often called work-family balance. Does the European family, as the key institution for reading healthy children, survive these policies? What does science know about the needs of children in order to grow to their full potential? The EU-FAM 2014 attempts to shed some light on these key issues for family policies and human development in the future of Europe.
