First Hope shop outside Scandinavia

In late August Hope opens the first brand shop, outside Scandinavia, in Amsterdam.
– The Netherlands has been a growing market for Hope during the past decade. We experience a possibility to make a significant contribution to the Dutch market with our Hope Brand. Our distinctiveness, within the field of fashion, is the focus on fashion and function using good design to simplify everyday life, says Co Founder/Brand Director/Designer Ann Ringstrand.

The shop is 125 m2 and located on Hartenstraat 26 in the trendy area called Nine Streets. It is in the heart of Amsterdam’s canal district and is one of the city’s most delightful shopping areas. The shop will contain Woman, Man, Shoes, Accessories and Interior Accessories.

Hope has recently launched a new shop concept.
-We are modernizing and innovative thinking regarding the relationship between the room and the décor. We like the idea of not attaching any furniture to the walls and to be agile. The room is decorated with art on wall panels and the interior is mobile, says Ann Ringstrand.

For the shop decoration we have made a cooperation with Dutch Designer Petra Blaisse and her team from Inside Outside.
– With 18 Minerite plates of 200x120x0.12 cm as given elements to print on, as decoration for the boutique’s walls, we preferred seeing the naked material itself as attractive surface. But we took the liberty to cut into them, thus physically getting acquainted with their characteristics while changing their rectangularity into a variation of sculptural shapes. Hanging the plates slightly off the walls, they become floating objects that create shadows and the illusion of depth and movement in the limited space of this narrow Amsterdam boutique, says designer Dutch Designer Petra Blaisse of Inside Outside.

– I am a big fan of Petras work. She is an inspiring Designer. We had an ambassador cooperation from 2013 where Petra was in the Hope Autumn/Winter Campaign. We are exited to make a local cooperation with her company Inside Outside in their home town, Amsterdam, says Ann Ringstrand.

For the interior design concept, named ”Swedish Modern”, Hope has been inspired by the Swedish interior Designer Axel Einar Hjorth and the simplicity found in the Shaker style furnishings.

– We have transformed these expressions into a simple functionalism and modern classicism. We bring Hope’s signatures such as tile, metal bar and copper into our new concept, says Ann Ringstrand.

Hope is already represented by several wholesalers in Amsterdam and Holland.
