JASE was a joint Japanese-Swedish Antarctic research expedition in 2007/08. The main focus was the development of the inland ice sheet with clear connections to the recent climate change. Many different types of data were collected: aerosols and surface snow sampling, snow radar and depth soundings and ice cores.
