Press release -

Korean Air is implementing a new passenger service system on Amadeus platform

On August 30, 2014, Korean Air will be implementing PSS, a new Passenger Service System, for an improved and highly efficient customer management.

Based on the Amadeus system, PSS is an integrated Passenger system platform that brings flexible, user-friendly and accurate system functions to Passenger Reservation, Ticketing, and Traffic.

It will additionally upgrade the data provision of Passenger marketing and sales, allowing for a comprehensive enhancement in Korean Air's customer support and management.

There will be a temporary system outage during the data migration where bookings and ticketing is planned unable for 8 hours.  We highly recommend to check all queues beforehand and please note that GDS reminder message will be displayed.

All existing PNR will be automatically transferred into new PSS and we ask for your gracious understanding and cooperation as we transition into this new system.

The change will take effect on Saturday the 30th of August at midnight and will not effect all routine transactions of the Korean Air. The new system is envisioned to offer quick and efficient performance.
