MCI NORDICS: CHANGES IN KEY MANAGEMENT POSITION - TRINE STEFFENSEN NOMINATED MANAGING DIRECTOR AFTER NEW COMPANY ACQUISITIONS

Stockholm, 15 December 2016. Trine Steffensen joins as the new Managing Director of MCI Nordics, MCI’s business unit operating in Copenhagen, Gothenburg and Stockholm. Steffensen, former Director of Operations of MCI Nordics, comes to replace Thomas Wüthrich who will be taking over the role of Managing Director of MCI Germany.

The new leadership change comes to complement the steps taken towards further growth in the Nordics market, following the acquisitions of ICS in Copenhagen and Initiativ in Sweden.Steffensenwill be mainly responsible for managing the new team members coming from the acquired companies, strengthening the company’s focus on corporate meetings and sales and establishing MCI Nordics as the leading PCO and preferred organiser of meetings and events in the region.

Steffensen’s new role within MCI Nordics, comes to build on her previous leadership roles fulfilled on a national level within the MICE industry and other business entities. Her valuable experience in combination with MCI’s mission and unique business solutions are expected to bring to existing and new clients the best expertise, insights and most up-to-date industry knowledge.

Before working with MCI, Trine worked at Wonderful Copenhagen, Danish Standards Association and ICS-International Conference Services. Trine has a Master’s in Law, from the University of Copenhagen, has been an engaged member of MPI since the Danish Chapter establishment in 1993, acting as chairman for the period 1998-99 and served as member of the board for several terms; for her valuable contribution she was announced as MPI Member of the year in 2013.
